‘We May Not Get It Right” – Don Jazzy [-Mavin Press Confrence-]

Two days ago there was a frenzy in the press community as we witnessed what has never happened before; the arrival of the MAVIN CREW at the London Heathrow airport in to the patiently waiting presence of the members of the press, unfortunately gabzinc.com was not there due to circumstances beyond our control as a result of our role in the #MavinConcertUk Project ( we had other pressing issues we were required to deal with) how ever we understand from a very reliable source that London Heathrow Airport ” Wasn’t ready” ( in kevin hart voice) or if you prefer “never experred it”. Amidst the  busy airport and the ever persistent press the Mavins were still kind enough to answer a few questions and take pictures ( Regardless of Jetlag ); something of note is that Rekaado Banks and DiJa who both happen to be coming to the UK for the first time seem unphased with the paparazzis; it is also a worthy mention that Korede Bello and DPrince were NOT with the entourage.

On Sunday the 19th of October 2014  the Mavin Concert UK  press conference took place at the Sunborn Yatch,Royal Victoria Dock; again this is the very first time a press conference would be taking place on a boat in the UK and it was done by the Biggest crew in Africa Mavins; all credit goes to all star music group who are the organisers of this Massive event, however a conference that was meant to start at 4pm did not commence until slighly over 2hrs later ; When the Mavins Finally arrived again to the patiently waiting press it was only right that they eagerly tender an apology and explanation to the press;this was done by Dr Sid.

Once proceedings kicked off the Mavins swiftly moved in to their elements easing away any anxiety the press might have had from the wait and moving the aura in to that of excitement. With Adesope Olajide Of Vox Africa and Factory 78 as the Captain of this particular ship the press asked an array of questions which were extensively answered by the Mavins, we even had DiJa speak her native language (hausa – hopefully no be swear she swear for us) Although Korede Bello and Dprince were not at the proceedings we were made to understand that they would be in the country in now less than 24 hours.

the UK afrobeats scene was well represented by Mazi Chuks of Krystal City & LT who both stated their excitement at being on the bill of arguably the biggest concert in UK this year.
